About This Data Partner
Taiwan Initiative for Geriatric Epidemiological Research (TIGER, http://homepage.ntu.edu.tw/~karenchen/eng/project.html) is a cohort study that recruited around 1200 non-demented community-dwelling participants aged 65 and older between 2011 and 2013 (baseline), and the sample population was followed up biyearly. This study focused on health related issues in the older adults, e.g., global and domain specific cognitive impairment, dementia, and functional change over time, etc. Various data have been collected in this study, e.g., air pollutants, biospecimen, brain and retinal imaging data, and questionnaires (demographics, lifestyle, and comorbidities, etc.). GAAIN is funded by the Alzheimers's Association, USA. It has developed the first operational online integrated research platform, linking scientists and data. Our Taiwan Initiative for Geriatric Epidemiological Research (TIGER) has joined GAAIN in 2018. We are looking forward to more collaborations via data sharing.
